Do you believe in miracles ? I do. I have always been an optimistic person,
a believer in the beauty and greatness of life, but experiencing the miracle morning proved me that miracles indeed can happen.
More than just a book, this is the Bible of a meaningful life… And I am not even exaggerating…
“What if I told you that there is a “not-so-obvious” secret which is guaranteed to transform any—or literally every area of your life, faster than you ever thought possible? What if I told you it would only take 6 minutes a day? Enter The Miracle Morning. What’s now being practiced by thousands of people around the world could perhaps be the simplest approach to creating the life you’ve always wanted. It’s been right there in front of us, but this book has finally brought it to life. Are you ready? The next chapter of your life—the most extraordinary life you’ve ever imagined—is about to begin. YOU DESERVE AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE. IT’S TIME TO WAKE UP TO YOUR FULL POTENTIAL.” Hal Elrod
(It’s doable in six minutes but surely not as efficient as in one hour !)
So, basically, the Miracle morning is a ritual to observe every morning and which consists in 6 different activities called “S.A.V.E.R.S.”.
–> Silence (meditation), Affirmation, Visualisation, Exercice, Reading, Scribing.
The order in which you do the activities doesn’t matter at all, nor the time you spend doing each of them. What matters is that you do the 6 activities every morning with consistency, which implies that you have to wake up earlier than you usually do.
I know, we -almost- all love our bed, especially in the morning, and waking up/standing up isn’t really something we do out of pleasure but more because we have to.
For the Miracle morning to become an habit, it’s not gonna be easy, it will require some efforts and you’ll have to fight yourself to do it, but I swear it is worth it.
Because you will feel much, much better in your mind, in your soul and in your body. I promise ! You will thank yourself for doing it !
In a stressful, superficial & digital era, we tend to forget our true selves. Our soul are dying, our body is surviving, our mind is lost… And these 6 habits aim to fix that. It completely worked for me.
By finally taking the necessary and unfortunately never-taken time to take care of who we truly are. Not as a pawn in a society, not as a daughter/son, not as an employee/boss, not as a wife/husband, not as a friend… But who we are as oneself, as a human-being, as a soul in a body.
With these habits, you will focus on yourself, your abilities, your dreams, your goals, your fears, your strengths & weaknesses… You will break your limiting beliefs, which play a too-important role in our lives. You will finally take the time to know yourself in order to live your life accordingly.
I think what worked the best for me was the affirmations/visualizations.
When I started the Miracle morning, I was looking for an internship in Dubai while living in France, and thanks to my good habits, I never let myself the possibility of failing. I didn’t give me the choice but to find an internship in Dubai because I believed in myself, I knew myself enough to know what I wanted and needed, and I imagined my life in Dubai so many times that I couldn’t imagine it not to happen.
I know some of you might be skeptical regarding whether the Miracle morning had or not an influence on why I landed in Dubai one month after, but to me it really has changed my life.
Now, I have to be honest with you. Once I arrived in Dubai, I stopped it. I started working (I was off when I started it) and took as an excuse that I needed to get used to my new rhythm of life before I could start again. And guess what ? I never started it again. I was feeling lazy, and so happy to live in the city I love that I didn’t feel the need to wake up earlier. I was wrong. The happiness and excitement of living a new life quickly faded. I started to be more and more lazy every day, to wake up as late as I could, to go home and nap even though I wasn’t that tired…
But, at the end of 2018, I decided to start again the Miracle morning. I only adapted it to my life and rhythm. I do the meditation and read in the morning, but I exercice in the evening after work and do my affirmation and visualization during my yoga session. I write before or after I exercice, not even everyday to be completely honest, but I feel good this way.
Even when I stopped the Miracle morning last year, I never really stopped yoga. I really enjoy these moments of physical challenge and inner peace. Reading and writing also became a habit, for my greatest pleasure.
But meditating and thinking of affirmations and visualization require a high level of focus and a real work on oneself that I wasn’t ready to do at this time. It is not that easy to analyze ourselves deep enough and unbiasedly to know what we need to change in us to be happier or more successful, but it really is necessary and worthy.
On a more technical side…
Do you really need the book ? I would say it is not VERY necessary as long as you do the six S.A.V.E.R.S. Like, you can meditate with an app., write anything you want in a notebook or on your computer, you can find numerous videos on how to do yoga or workout…
But reading the book will help you understand how to do it and why to do it. You will read a bit about the author history, how he came with the idea of a Miracle morning, and somehow it will help you to find the motivation to start. At least, it worked with me.
There is also an exercice book to help you commit in these challenging changes, but I find it really dispensable.
Now, I find the website absolutely disgusting, way too “Americanised” to me, based way too much on marketing and too business-oriented. It’s lame and a bit antagonist when you know how healthy these good habits are for the mind, soul and body, and how money might easily destroy all of these three beautiful gifts we all received from life…
You can check my favorite app. for a healthy and meaningful life just here !
To sum up, I would of course highly and gladly recommend you to read the book, at least to have an overview of what you can do to improve your everyday life, to reach your goal, to find a purpose to your life…
The benefits of the S.A.V.E.R.S. are many and even if you decided to do only one or two of the six activities, you’ll already feel better.
I promise to you, very sincerely, that you can’t do the Miracle morning with seriousness and consistency and not feel any benefit. It is absolutely impossible.
I really hope for you that you will consider starting it, and the sooner, the better. It’s time to live your own life and in the best possible mental and physical shape. Let the miracle of finding your true self happen…
